Goldmann Automatics builds log roll rewinding machines that convert jumbo rolls of adhesive tape and film into log rolls ready for slicing. They operate fully automatically, including cutting and wrapping of rolls, and handle masking tape, foam tape, aluminium foil tape, fabric tape and surface protection films.
A log roll rewinder takes a wide jumbo roll, rewinds it onto a core to the diameter you specify, and produces a log roll: a wide, tightly wound roll that is later cut into individual tape rolls on a log roll slicing machine. Consistent tension is what keeps the log roll tight and square, so Goldmann's rewinders use an automatic tension control system.
Goldmann log roll rewinders are available in turret, simplex or duplex rewind types. The rewind type decides how roll changes are handled and therefore how much idle time each cycle carries, so it is matched to your volume and substrate. Optional trim cutting and an optional automatic cutting and wrapping system complete the machine.
The modular design converts a wide spectrum of substrates: masking tape, fabric, foam, SPF and aluminium foil tapes, and surface protection films. Working width ranges from 500 mm to 2000 mm, and rewind roll diameter is set as per your requirement.
In a tape plant the sequence runs coating, slitting and rewinding, log roll rewinding and then slicing. See our guide to log roll slicing versus log roll rewinding for how the two machines differ. For pricing, contact Goldmann with your working width, roll diameter and substrates; the price depends on configuration and automation.
