Goldmann Automatics manufactures fully automatic log roll slicing machines that cut log rolls of adhesive tape into finished rolls. Servo driven for accurate indexing, they cut widths from 2 mm upwards with an indexing tolerance of +/-0.1 mm and are engineered for zero downtime and seamless production flow.
After tape is slit and rewound into log rolls, a log roll slicing machine cuts each log across its width into individual rolls of the finished size. Accuracy matters: the indexing has to be repeatable so every roll is the same width, and the blade has to cut cleanly through a sticky adhesive without dragging or smearing.
Goldmann's machines are servo driven for accurate indexing and angle movement, with cutting width programmable from 2 mm upwards and an indexing tolerance of +/-0.1 mm. Internal or external pneumatic chucks grip the material, and a cooling and lubrication system keeps cutting consistent. A PLC-based HMI control panel provides automatic fault indication, telematics and remote troubleshooting.
The machine converts masking tape, PVC insulation tape, foam, VHB and many other substrates. Working width ranges from 500 mm to 2000 mm and log roll diameter is as per your requirement.
Slicing is the last conversion step; it follows log roll rewinding and slitting. Read log roll slicing versus log roll rewinding for how the machines relate. Machine price depends on working width, number of blades, substrate and automation. Contact Goldmann for a specification and quotation.
