BOPP Tape Manufacturing Plant & Machinery

Goldmann Automatics designs and manufactures complete BOPP tape manufacturing plants: adhesive coating, drying, slitting, rewinding and log roll slicing machinery for manufacturers who want to produce BOPP packaging tape at volume. Based in Mumbai since 1973, we have installed 850+ machines in 40+ countries.

From BOPP Film to Finished Tape: The Production Process

A BOPP tape plant is a sequence of machines, each handing a roll to the next. Plain BOPP film is unwound and coated with adhesive, the coating is dried and cured, and the coated web is wound into a jumbo roll. The jumbo roll is then slit and rewound into log rolls, and the log rolls are sliced into the finished tape rolls that reach the shelf.

BOPP Film→Adhesive Coating→Drying / Curing→Jumbo Roll→Slitting / Rewinding→Log Rolls→Slicing→Finished BOPP Tape

Because Goldmann builds every stage in-house, from the adhesive coating plant to the BOPP tape slitting machine, the log roll rewinder and the log roll slicing machine, your plant is engineered as one line rather than assembled from unrelated suppliers.

BOPP Tape Coating Machine

The BOPP adhesive coating plant is the heart of the line. Goldmann's plant uses reverse roll kiss coating with a Mayer bar unit, runs at 200+ metres per minute depending on the model, and handles web widths from 1000 mm to 1650 mm. Drying tunnels range from 60 ft to 150 ft depending on the model, with high-efficiency ovens and a chilled-roll drawing and cooling unit.

An automatic turret unwinder with auto splicing and an automatic turret rewinder with auto changeover and splicing keep the line running through roll changes. Control is fully PLC (Siemens) based and WiFi enabled, with remote troubleshooting so our engineers can diagnose a problem without travelling to your factory.

Slitting, Rewinding and Log Roll Conversion

Once the jumbo roll is coated, it has to be converted into usable tape. Goldmann's GA-SRT and GA-T3 slitter rewinders cut jumbo rolls to widths from 12 mm upwards, while log roll rewinding machines and automatic log roll slicing machines produce the final rolls. Each machine is available in configurations matched to your tape sizes and output.

Why Manufacturers Choose Goldmann for BOPP Tape Plants

Over four decades of building tape machinery means Goldmann has solved most production problems before. Design, fabrication and assembly are in-house, so machines can be customised for your substrate, width and speed. After-sales support includes on-site training, maintenance visits and availability of essential spares, and the WiFi-enabled control system allows remote support. The company is ISO 9001:2008 certified.

Configuring Your BOPP Tape Plant

Plant pricing depends on working width, coating technology, automation level, production speed and the number of conversion machines in the line. Rather than publish a single price, we prepare a specification and quotation for your target output. Contact Goldmann with your tape width, daily output target and adhesive type and we will recommend a configuration.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a BOPP tape manufacturing plant?

A BOPP tape manufacturing plant is the set of machines that turns BOPP film into finished adhesive tape: an adhesive coating plant with drying, followed by slitting, rewinding and log roll slicing machines.

Which machines are needed to make BOPP tape?

You need an adhesive coating plant (to coat and dry the film), a slitter rewinder (to cut the jumbo roll into log rolls), and a log roll slicing machine (to cut log rolls into finished tape rolls). Goldmann Automatics manufactures all three.

What is the coating speed of a Goldmann BOPP coating plant?

200+ metres per minute, depending on the model. Web widths range from 1000 mm to 1650 mm.

How much does a BOPP tape machine cost?

Machine pricing depends on working width, coating technology, automation level, production speed and configuration. Contact Goldmann for a specification and quotation.

Does Goldmann Automatics supply BOPP tape plants outside India?

Yes. Goldmann machines are installed in 40+ countries, and the company has 25+ years of export experience.
